Blogger discontinues paid premium service

Blogger, the Google-owned Weblog creation site, is eliminating its paid version and folding premium functions into its free service, reports CNET News.com. “The creation of Blogger Pro, which cost subscribers a yearly fee of $35, came about as a result of financial necessity, Blogger co-founder Evan Williams wrote in an e-mail to subscribers. Now that Google owns the service, that need has passed.”

Mac user successfully resells iTunes song

CNET News.com reports that George Hotelling has successfully resold a song he purchased through Apple’s iTunes Music Store, “ending a weeklong exercise he hoped would highlight the legal and technical nuances of emerging digital music services.” Hotelling said he transfered the song to a friend, Keith Elder. “In order to close the deal, Hotelling said he had to transfer control of his entire iTunes Music Store account to Elder.
