PalmSource, the software subsidiary of Palm, Inc., today announced the number of “Palm Powered” devices sold worldwide has surpassed 30 million units. The Palm OS platform has more than 275,000 developers building applications for Palm Powered mobile devices, and the Palm OS developer community has created over 19,000 software applications in a broad range of categories, notes the press release.

MUG News: LAFCPUG to make music September 24

The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group (LAFCPUG) plan on making music at their next meeting, Wednesday, September 24 at the LA Film School in Hollywood, CA. On the agenda will be demos of Apple’s Soundtrack, SmartSound’s SonicFire Pro 3.1, and Apple’s Logic Platinum 6. In addition, there will be more on Final Cut Pro 4, filmmaker Show and Tells, Stump the Gurus and a raffle. The meeting begins at 6:45 p.m. PT and a US$5 donation is required for entrance.
