AOL spam tools coming soon to Mac OS X

America Online today announced it is equipping more AOL members with spam fighting tools by rolling out personalized and adaptive spam filters to earlier versions of the AOL service. The new spam filters are available now for members using AOL 8.0 Plus and will be delivered automatically over the coming months to members using AOL 8.0, AOL 7.0, AOL 6.0 and AOL for Mac OS X.

MacSpeech releases ScriptPak for Microsoft Word X

MacSpeech today announced the availability of its new ScriptPak for Microsoft Word X, which adds over 150 spoken commands to the company’s flagship product iListen. The Microsoft Word X ScriptPak includes commands that allow the user to control most of Word’s functions with voice commands, including time-saving commands that show and hide Word’s toolbars and palettes, as well as commands that allow navigation and control of formatting options. Agfa Monotype has launched Fontwise from Monotype, a service for auditing, managing and purchasing font licences. Fontwise from Monotype comprises client-server font discovery software, a licence reconciliation service and online font database creation and management. The Fontwise client-server software scans the network at intervals determined by the user and reports on all font files found.
