Roxio updates Toast 6 Titanium

Roxio has released Toast 6.0.3, an update to the company’s popular CD and DVD burning software.
The new version offers language support for French, German, Italian and Japanese; a summary of number of items and playback duration in Video format; a Menu item to Duplicate videos or slideshows in Video format; Audio Master Quality Recording support for Yamaha recorders; a Buffer Underrun Prevention option for combo DVD+R/RW and -R/RW recorders; and other enhancements.

McDonald’s: No iTunes deal to announce

McDonald’s has responded to a published report that it plans a massive digital song giveaway promotion with Apple, calling it “pure speculation.” Today’s New York Post claims that McDonald’s is close to announcing a deal with Apple, whereby the fast food giant will give away up to 1 billion songs from the iTunes Music Store. “There are no agreements to announce, so anything else is pure speculation,” the company said.

Classic Menu ready for Panther

Sig Software has released Classic Menu 2.7.2, a new version of its user interface enhancement for Mac OS X. The US$10 software brings the classic configurable Mac OS Apple Menu back to Mac OS X, replacing the system’s built-in Apple Menu. Version 2.7.2 is a maintenance update that adds full compatibility with Apple’s Mac OS X 10.3 Panther.
