TidBITS has announced the release of “Take Control of Users & Accounts in Panther,” an electronic book by Kirk McElhearn that “takes the mystery out of user accounts in Mac OS X.” The US$5 title offers strategies for setting up accounts in a variety of situations (a single user Mac, a Mac shared by a family or a small office, or Macs in public facilities), and provides account setup and usage instructions. It also covers customizing the login experience, Fast User Switching, and how users on the same Mac can share files.
