Medea Corporation today announced that it has begun shipping FireFly, a FireWire-based storage solution for content creation applications. FireFly is a modular FireWire storage solution designed for storage-intensive applications, including digital audio and video editing, DVD authoring, digital imaging, and desktop publishing. The system features a FireWire port on the front of the docking station for easy connection of DV camcorders. The new drives are available in capacities of 240, 400, and 500GB, with prices of US$699, $999, and $1,299, respectively.
