Sony today unveiled the Clie PEG-UX50 handheld device with integrated Wi-Fi (802.11b) and Bluetooth wireless technologies. It offers a built-in digital camera, voice recorder, digital audio player, QWERTY keyboard and a high-resolution color screen (480×320 pixels) that swivels 180 degrees. The handheld runs Palm OS 5.2, sports a Memory Stick expansion slot, and has a total 104MB of memory. The Clie PEG-UX50 will be available in September for US$700. Sony will also offer a CLIE PEG-UX40, which is identical to its sibling, but only features Bluetooth for $600. Sony’s Clie handhelds can be synced to your Mac using Missing Sync 3.0 from Mark/Space.
