MCE Technologies today announced that it has begun shipping Apple’s new 12 and 14-inch 900MHz iBooks with an internal DVD-R/RW drive as standard equipment instead of the normal CD-RW/DVD combo drive. Each iBook comes with DVD Authoring Software for Mac OS X and Mac OS 9, as well as Toast Lite software for burning audio and data CDs. In addition, the internal drive is compatible with Apple’s iTunes and Finder Burning. The 12-inch iBook is priced at US$1299, while the 14-inch model sells for $1499.
