Extensis today announced the release of pxl SmartScale, a new Photoshop plug-in for increasing the resolution of digital images without compromising quality. Powered by Celartem’s advanced scaling technology, PixelLive, SmartScale offers “easy, intuitive image scaling up to 1600% with no discernable loss in printed quality.” The plug-in lets you scale and crop images, adjust sharpness, edge detail and edge contrast settings without leaving the Photoshop environment.
