Jiiva today announced the release of SuperScrubber 1.1, the latest update to the company’s disk sanitization utility for the Mac. SuperScrubber is a disk utility, priced at US$29.99, that serves to completely and permanently erase all data from a specified internal or external hard drive or partition, leaving no retrievable trace of the old data. Jiiva says that version 1.1 can perform a “military-strength” scrub on a 30 GB hard drive in as little as two hours (depending on your exact hardware configuration). Additional features in this release include new scrub operations such as a configurable repeat operation; a double reminder to prevent accidental scrubbing; user interface enhancements; and updated documentation.
