@Last Software today announced the release of SketchUp 3.0, a new version of its 3-D design software that adds a multitude of new features designed to help users create superior models and then take them into 3-D modeling, CAD, image editing, illustration and animation applications. Version 3.0 brings animation export of AVI, MOV and QuickTime files; vector output in EPS, PDF and VRML; dimensions and annotation; improved arcs, circles, and polygons; smoothed faces and soft edges; and material transparency (glass). SketchUp works with Mac OS X and sells for US$475.
