TiVo Digital Video Recorders (DVR) are beginning to arrive at Apple Stores nationwide. The stores are currently carrying two models — a Series 2 DVR model with 40 hours recording time and one with 80 hours recording time. The 40 hour TiVo is priced at US$249, while the 80 hour unit sells for $349. The models we saw today were not being displayed, but were instead still in their boxes under a shelf that showcases various Macs. As we reported on Friday, TiVo CEO Michael Ramsay mentioned that TiVo systems would soon be available in Apple retail stores. Last month, the company released Mac OS X software for its Home Media Option that lets you automatically stream music and photos from your Mac to your TiVo for listening/viewing on your TV.
