Quark today announced it is offering a first look at a few of the features of QuarkXPress 6, the forthcoming release of the company’s design and layout software. QuarkXPress 6 is designed to run in the native Mac OS X and Windows XP environments and conforms to the new user interfaces of both operating systems. QuarkXPress 6 will run on Mac OS X, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. In addition, some of the menus have been reorganized and include more useful commands in contextual menus to facilitate rapid work. Quark says that it will reveal more of the new features of QuarkXPress 6 over the coming weeks on its Web site. Pricing and availability were not announced.
