Mireth Technology has released MacMP3CD 1.0 (US$19.95), a new Mac OS X application that allows users to burn and play MP3 CDs — audio CDs that are burned using the MP3 file format, which can hold up to 10 hours of music on a single CD. In addition to the burning and playing of MP3 CDs (which iTunes already does), the software also offers a burn list feature to save MP3 CD content list (for easy re-creation), easy navigation of all the folders on your hard drive (including across multiple users), support for folders for easier organization and navigation, and features a built-in CD-RW erase feature. MacMP3CD’s player capability features auto play, so MP3 CDs start playing when inserted, and auto eject. Full playback control provides looping, song skip, and song select.
