The 1394 Trade Association elected Eric Anderson, Apple’s FireWire software manager, as its 2003 chairman, with Max Bassler of Molex Inc. as vice chair, during its first quarter meetings last week. The group also set its next Compliance and Interoperability Workshop for Feb. 3-5 at the Embassy Suites in Burlingame, California. It will provide a complete set of test suites designed to ensure that consumer, computer, and industrial products equipped with 1394/FireWire work together. The 1394 Trade Association is “an international organization dedicated to the proliferation and advancement of the 1394/FireWire standard.”
