Strata DVpro 5.0 to include Sorenson Spark codec

Strata has announced the upcoming release of Strata DVpro 5.0, a new version of its non-linear digital video editing and compression application and a successor to VideoShop 4.5. Strata DVpro will be the first non-linear editor to include compression technology using the Sorenson Spark codec for use in Macromedia Flash. Other new export options include Sorenson Squeeze, MP3, AVI, and any QuickTime-compatible codec. Specific target platforms and release date have not been announced.

Apple is now offering customers that are approved for an Apple Instant Loan at its online Apple Store a 90-day grace period before payments must begin, as noted by MacCentral. Loans are available up to US$25,000, with a choice of 24, 36, 48, or 60 month repayment terms. Apple has partnered with MNBA for the loan financing, and offers a loan status page to check the status of an application or to calculate monthly payments.
