New video e-mail software debuts

The Right Bits Inc. has released Videogram Creator 1.0.8, its software for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X for sending video within e-mail. The software compresses audio, video, text, and graphics into a small HTML file that is played back within e-mail using embedded Java applets. A free trial copy allows users to send e-mail messages featuring up to 20 seconds of video. The full version of Videogram Creator sells for US$49.95.

Panasonic introduces multi-function printers

Panasonic today introduced three new multi-function WORKiO printers, which can copy, print, scan, and fax at up to 60 (DP-6010), 45 (DP-4510), or 35 (DP-3510) pages per minute. The new Mac-compatible models feature a 10/100 Ethernet interface, 600×600 dpi resolution, batch scanning, and more. The WORKiO DP-6010 and DP-4510 will be available later this month for US$17,995 and $12,995, respectively, while the DP-3510 will be available in July for an unannounced price.
