Planar launches PX line of height-adjusting LCD monitors

Planar Systems today announced the launch of its new family of premium flat-panel desktop monitors featuring “a first-of-its-kind base that provides users with resistance-free swivel, pivot and height adjustments.” The first model in the new PX line is the 17″ PX171M display with ultra-thin bezels and a panel depth of two inches. The display offers 1280 x 1024 resolution, analog and digital (DVI) inputs, 16 ms response time, and integrated speakers.

ZDNet’s Coursey: Why you should buy an Apple this Christmas

David Coursey’s latest column for ZDNet is “a blatant attempt to get you into an Apple Store and convince you to maybe even buy something while you’re there,” according to the writer. He recommends the 17″ iMac, 17″ Apple flat panel display, iBook, iPod, and Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar). “I urge you to consider a Mac as a new computer in your home this holiday or perhaps as a first computer for someone you know who still doesn’t have one.”
