BeOS file system engineer joins Apple
Slashdot notes that Dominic Giampaolo, the creator of the BFS journaling file system used by the BeOS, has joined Apple as a file system engineer, as reported by The Register.

XLR8 ships video capture device with Mac OS X support
XLR8 today announced the release of InterView 2.0 with Mac OS X support, its USB video capture device. InterView 2.0 is compatible with Mac OS 8.6 and later as well and includes Strata VideoShop 4.5, QuickTime Pro 4/5, and XLR8’s WebCleaner and Theater software. The product is available now for US$89.95. For current InterView users, XLR8 plans to announce a firmware upgrade program in the near future.
