Adobe ships FrameMaker 7.0

Adobe has begun shipping FrameMaker 7.0, the newest version of its enterprise-class authoring and publishing solution. FrameMaker 7.0 is compatible only with Mac OS 9.x, although it runs in Classic on Mac OS X, and sells for US$799. Upgrades are $209 through August 22, and $349 thereafter.

Apple upgrades iBooks

Apple updated its line of iBooks today, speeding the PowerPC G3 processor to 700MHz, doubling the L2 cache to 512K, upgrading the graphics processor to a 16MB ATI Radeon Mobility, and increasing hard drive capacity. The iBook also features a video-out port that supports VGA output, as well as S-video and composite video with an optional adapter.
