ArcSoft has released Funhouse, a photo editing application formerly named PhotoFantasy. Funhouse enables users to easily insert their personal photos into more than 150 unique fantasy settings. Funhouse is available for US$29.99 for Mac OS 8.6 and later and Mac OS X.

Brokerage firm Thomas Weisel has initiated coverage of Apple with an “attractive” rating, according to CBS MarketWatch. Additional notes are unavailable.

Procreate released Wednesday an update to KnockOut 2, the company’s Photoshop-comatpbile masking plug-in, which resolves issues with Photoshop 7. KnockOut 2 sells for US$329.

Fuji introduced today the FinePix F401, an ultra-slim 2.1 megapixel camera. The F401 sports Fuji’s third-generation Super CCD image sensor, enabling the camera to deliver images with up to 4 megapixels and ISO sensitivities up to 1600. The camera features a 3x optical zoom lens and also features digital movie recording and continuous shooting mode capabilities. The F401 will go on sale in August for US$499.99.
