Another Apple exec files to sell $3.7M in stock

A second Apple Vice President in two days has disclosed his intent to sell a large block of shares in the company. Peter Oppenheimer, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Finance, filed to sell 152,500 shares, valued at US$3.7 million, with an approximate sale date of May 14, according to Dow Jones Newswires (link unavailable). Avie Tevanian, Apple’s Senior VP of Software Engineering, disclosed a sale of $2.1 million in stock on Wednesday.

Is Apple about to take the gloves off and be more persuasive in converting Windows users over to Macintosh? According to an article on c|net today, it would appear so. The article reports that Apple will try and convert current PC users to Macs by comparing Windows systems side-by-side in Apple retail stores in the US. The story also reports Apple will open 18 more stores this year for a total of 49.
