Centrinity recently announced FirstClass 7.0 for Mac OS X, a major upgrade to its robust bulletin board and community software, and the first release for Mac OS X. FirstClass Server 7 is currently completing testing and is scheduled for release in the fourth-quarter, while the FirstClass Client for Mac OS X has already been released. Centrinity is also soliciting beta testers for the software.

J&R Computer World, ClubMac, CompUSA, and MacMall all recently updated their Apple Hot Deals pages, offering special discounts and bundles. Featured products include CD-R and DVD-R bundles, iPod bundles, storage devices, games bundles, and other software bundles.

Microsoft has released Internet Explorer 5.1.5 for Mac OS 8.1 and later, and Internet Explorer 5.2.1 for Mac OS X. The new versions “provide enhanced support for the HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and resolve all security vulnerabilities in previous versions of Internet Explorer 5.”
