WiebeTech introduces new FireWire drives

WiebeTech today introduced a number of FireWire storage solutions that the company will show-off at Macworld Expo:

  • NanoGB – a new aluminum FireWire pocket drive that is less than half-an-inch thick and features Oxford’s 911 FireWire bridge; available in August in capacities of 20GB (US$217.95), 30GB ($259.95), and 40GB ($299.95); will also be available in an alternate version with a single USB 2.0 port for $199.95, $239.95, and $279.95, respectively

iPhoto: The Missing Manual released

O’Reilly & Associates today announced the release of “iPhoto: The Missing Manual,” co-authored by well known Mac writer and New York Times columnist, David Pogue. Also coauthoring the book are Joseph Schorr and Derrick Story. “iPhoto: The Missing Manual” covers choosing and mastering a digital camera, the basics of good photocomposition, and tips for shooting special subjects like kids, sports, nighttime shots, portraits, and more. The book retails for US$24.95.
