Apple has posted the new “Switch” movies that were shown during Steve Jobs’ keynote address at Macworld Expo in New York on Wednesday. The new ads feature Ellen Feiss and Hamilton Morris. Absent however, is the Will Ferrell (of Saturday Night Live fame) Switch ad, in which he spoofed the ads by stating, “My name’s Will Ferrell, porn actor.”

Flat-panel displays are still in limited supply, and the shortage is expected to continue through the rest of the year despite a recent LG Philips plant opening which produces LCDs, according to c|net. Carl Steudle, marketing vice president for LG Philips LCD America said at a recent keynote address that “The (fabrication plants) are not making them fast enough to meet demand. And supply will be tight for 2002.”

IDG World Expo has posted several 360 degree QuickTime VR panoramas from this week’s Macworld Expo in New York, on the Expo’s official Web site.

As budgets tighten for exhibitors and smaller developers look for a venue to show off their products, the Special Interest Area (SIA) at Macworld Expo in New York is getting big crowds and much interest. (continued…)
