New features include greater flexibility in organizing notes, an Auto-Save and backup features, and numerous interface enhancements. IdeaSpiral is priced at US$19, and is available for Mac OS X and Mac OS 7.6 and higher.

ExecutiveSync 1.0 is a new file synchronization utility for Mac OS X that supports long file names, Unicode, synchronization with Windows File Servers, and detailed history reporting. ExecutiveSync costs US$19.95; a 30-day trial is available.

At Microsoft’s 2002 Financial Analysts Day yesterday, executives said IBM and Linux represent the greatest threat to the company, according to Computerwire. IBM competes heavily with Microsoft for big-dollar corporate accounts, while Linux attracts closely knit developer communities.

MacDesktops has posted 14 new desktop pictures in the last week, including: Bad Kitty (Animation), Foggy Night (Logos, Apple), Quicksilver 3D (Logos, Apple), Ripples (Art), and Tigers (Fauna). Mandolux has added 15 new desktops: five SR-71 Blackbirds (aerospace), five Apache Helicopters (aerospace), three Giant/Dual Monitor pictures (petal/macro), and additions to the Fire & Flames and Technosis/Anthraxis themes.
