Excel Software ships MacA&D 7.4

Excel Software is now shipping MacA&D 7.4, a major update to its software design tool. New features include the ability to expand and collapse groups of dictionary entries, support for multiple language projects and supplemental user-defined fields for collecting design information. MacA&D is available for Mac OS 7 and higher and Mac OS X, and comes in four editions; Standard (US$495), Educational ($845), Desktop ($1295), and Developer ($1995).

Apple expands Mac OS X Up-To-Date program

Apple has updated the details of its Mac OS X 10.2 Up-To-Date program: Macs purchased after July 17, as well as retail copies of Mac OS X 10.1 purchased after July 17, are eligible for the special US$19.95 upgrade price. Additionally, all Xserve owners, regardless of purchase date, can purchase Mac OS X Server 10.2 for $19.95. Power Mac G4 Servers purchased after July 17 are also eligible for the discounted upgrade.
