Apple posts new “Switch” ads

Apple has posted the second round of “Switch” ads on its Web site in QuickTime format. The ads feature new “switchers” including an attorney, a veterinarian, a trucking company owner, a software manager and two students. The ads will also be shown during the U.S. Open tennis tournament on CBS this weekend.

Apple interviews DJ John Digweed

Apple has posted an interview with DJ and remix guru John Digweed, in which he discusses how he became the popular DJ that he is today, and how he uses Macs in the studio and on the road. “I’ve always used Macs. I never had anything else. And I use Logic. It was the first program I used and I still use it,” Digweed said.

XRay 1.0.5 released with Jaguar support

XRay 1.0.5 is the latest version of Rainer Brockerhoff’s file/folder information utility for Mac OS X. XRay offers users “a much more detailed view of files, folders, applications and volumes than Mac OS X’s Show Info window does.” Version 1.0.5 brings Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) compatibility and contains many bug fixes and minor improvements, all of which can be found here. XRay is US$10 shareware.
