TouchStrokes 1.5.6 fixes permissions issue

Niemeijer Consult has posted TouchStrokes 1.5.6, the latest version of the company’s virtual on-screen keyboard for touch screens, server management and graphic tablet users. This release fixes a file permission issue that prevented operation from an account other than the one the software was installed from. TouchStrokes is available for Mac OS 9 or higher and Mac OS X, priced at US$95.

Casady & Greene have released TimeSlice 2.5.1, the latest version of the company’s time-tracking and time-billing application for users of Mac OS X and Mac OS 8.6-9.x. Version 2.5.1 corrects a number of issues with the previous version and is available as a free download for registered users of v2.5 now. TimeSlice sells for US$59.95.

SanDisk unveils USB 2.0 multi-card reader

SanDisk today introduced the ImageMate 6-in-1 memory card reader utilizing USB 2.0. The reader has slots for CompactFlash Type I/II, SmartMedia, SD, Memory Stick and the MultiMediaCard. It is also backward compatible and can be used with computers based on USB 1.1. The new reader has a suggested retail price of US$49.99 and will be available in October.
