Glucose Development Corporation today updated WeatherPop and WeatherPop Advance, its popular utilities that display current weather conditions in your menu bar, to version 1.6, as noted by MacUpdate. Version 1.6 offers improved data accuracy, a new data source (wunderground.com), a Favorite Locations feature and more. WeatherPop is freeware and WeatherPop Advance costs US$8 — both require Mac OS X 10.1 or later.

ATI posts Q4 financial results

Graphics chip maker ATI Technologies today announced financial results for the fourth quarter ended August 31, 2002. Revenue for the period was US$239.5 million, down 10 per cent from the last quarter, but up five percent from the fourth quarter a year ago. The company posted a net loss of $32.2 million, or 14 cents per share, versus a loss of $11.6 million, or 5 cents a share last year.

iPod Updater 1.2.1 available

Apple has posted iPod Updater 1.2.1 to their Web site. The download page notes that the update fixes a problem with the battery icon so it correctly indicates a full charge. The software is available for both Mac OS X and Mac OS 9 users, but iTunes 3 for Mac OS X is required to take advantage of all new features.
