Apple board member to join Tyco’s board

Apple board member Jerome York will soon join Tyco’s troubled board, but his business ties to Apple appear to run counter to what Tyco is trying to instill as CEO Edward Breen works to restore credibility, reports Reuters. Critics point to York’s position on Apple’s compensation committee, even though he is CEO of Micro Warehouse, a large Apple reseller. While York was on the board, Apple CEO Steve Jobs received a US$90 million Gulfstream jet for the two-and-a-half years he served without pay.

IOXperts releases updated Mac OS X driver for low-cost digital cameras

IOXperts has released version its USB Still Camera driver v1.0.2 for Mac OS X. The US$9.95 driver allows users of iPhoto and other applications that use Apple’s Image Capture architecture to download images from over 80 low-cost cameras.
