CMS Peripherals today announced that its ABSplus is now available for Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar), the first backup and restoration device for Jaguar with system bootability. The pocket-sized ABSplus is available in capacities of 20, 30, 40 and 60GB, and the ABSplus for Desktops is available in 40, 80, 120 and 160GB sizes, with prices starting at US$299.

O’Reilly releases “Learning Cocoa with Objective-C”

O’Reilly today announced the release of “Learning Cocoa with Objective-C,” authored by James Duncan Davidson. The book is the follow-up to “Learning Cocoa,” and has been updated for Mac OS X version 10.2 (Jaguar) to “show developers how to start building Cocoa applications using the Objective-C binding to the Cocoa frameworks.” The US$34.95 book also covers the latest updates to the Cocoa frameworks, including examples that use the Address Book and Universal Access APIs.
