All4DVD announces faster DVD duplication systems

All4DVD announced today that it will be introducing the “world’s fastest” DVD duplication systems at the Southern California MacFair 2002 on November 16. All4DVD’s newest DVD duplication towers will feature Pioneer’s A05/105 DVD-R drives with faster, improved 4x DVD recording speed, and are designed to burn up to 7 DVD-R discs in less than 15 minutes. The duplication towers come with anywhere from 3 to 7 target drives, with prices starting at US$1499.

FirewireDirect debuts 4x FireWire DVD-R/RW drive

FirewireDirect today announced the UltraBURN II FireWire DVD-R/RW external drive, featuring the new Pioneer DVR-A05/105 mechanism that supports 4x writing and 2x re-writing with new high speed discs. In addition, the drive will write CD-R at 16x and CD-RW at 8x, and is also available as a Combo FireWire/USB 2.0 unit. Both units come bundled with DVD recording software for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. The FireWire (US$399) and FireWire/USB 2.0 ($439) drives will ship next week, and are available now for pre-order.

Dr. RawStock launches Final Cut Pro post-production facility

Dr. RawStock today announced the launch of its 100% Apple Final Cut Pro post-production facility at the company’s Hollywood headquarters. Built around Apple’s latest Power Mac G4, Dr RawStock’s edit suites “bring creative professionals access to today’s most advanced HD desktop video equipment, as well as providing a hip and comfortable work environment.” Rates start at US$50 per hour, and $499 per week.
