Connectix today announced Virtual PC 6.0, a new version of the company’s popular PC emulation software. Version 6.0 includes speed improvements (up to 25% faster on Mac OS X), Mac OS X Dock integration (launch Windows applications directly from the Dock), enhanced back-up support in Mac OS X, improved USB printing support for increased compatibility, video support for Apple’s monitors (including the 23″ HD Cinema Display), and self-contained configurations. The 6.0 upgrade (US$99) and Virtual PC 6.0 with DOS ($129) are both available now. Virtual PC 6.0 with Windows XP Home ($219), Windows XP Pro ($249), Windows 98 ($219), and Windows 2000 ($249) will be available later this month.
