SmartDisk today announced its new line of external USB2.0 hard drives in 80GB (US$219.99) and 120GB ($299.99) sizes. The drives feature a 3.5″ mechanism and an aluminum alloy case that provides better heat dissipation. The drives can be oriented either upright or horizontally, and support both USB2.0 and USB1.1. The drives will be available in late September.
