Starrett Design today released SpeakNSave 1.1, the latest version of its application that allows users to save the speech generated from text they provide. SpeakNSave allows for creation of speech in a variety of voices and saves to a standard AIFF format, which can then be used for presentations, Web announcements, or converted to MP3 for iPod listening or CD burning. The update brings minor user-interface enhancements, bug fixes, and speed improvements. SpeakNSave is available for Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar), and is US$4 shareware.
