MacResQ today announced a new PowerBook G3 screen repair service as part of its PowerBookResQ repair program, which offers PowerBook G3 owners an affordable way to replace their damaged screen polarizers, the ultra-thin protective cover of an LCD. The polarizer can become damaged when the screen comes into contact with the PowerBook’s keyboard after the lid is closed. Oil from the user’s fingertips transfers from the keyboard to the screen leaving the distracting marks, and damaging the polarizer. PowerBookResQ will replace a PowerBook G3 polarizer for US$299, which includes overnight pickup and delivery and PowerBookResQ’s new PowerPad screen protector to prevent additional problems.
