Unsanity today released Application Enhancer 1.0, its newest haxie for Mac OS X. Application Enhancer modifies how applications work in Mac OS X through the use of third-party modules. Alongside the release of Application Enhancer, Unsanity has posted ClearDock, a module that removes the Dock’s background in Mac OS X 10.2, as well as Metallizer, which can add or remove the brushed metal appearance to Cocoa applications, with other modules due for release in the near future. Application Enhancer, ClearDock, and Metallizer are avaialble free of charge. Additionally, an SDK has been released for developers looking to create their own modules.
