MacSpeech today released iListen 1.5, the latest version of its speech recognition software that allows users to dictate, edit and format text with their voice in nearly any application. The update brings Mac OS X support and offers several enhancements, including improved recognition performance, transcription support, playback in correction, shared profiles between Mac OS X and Mac OS 9, a new iListen Dock menu for Mac OS X, and improved stability and reliability. The update is free to users who purchased iListen since June 1, 2002 and is available to registered users of older versions for US$39.95. iListen carries a retail price of $99.00.
