Elemental Audio Systems today announced three new VST audio plug-ins for VST-compatible hosts in Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X: Firium (US$99), a linear phase equalizer plug-in that allows users to draw the entire EQ curve freehand; Eqium ($99, or $129 bundled with Firuim), an unlimited bands software equalizer plug-in, which creates bands and filters “on-the-fly”, as needed by the user so there is no need to limit their EQ creativity because of a predetermined number of bands; and Inspector, a free full-featured analysis plug-in, which uses its alarm feature to alert users of adverse conditions in their audio.
