Apple has reportedly reorganized its education segment, combining sales and marketing teams into a single business unit with more than 750 employees, according to eWeek. Heading the group is John Couch, a former Apple vice president who has returned to the company, while Cheryl Vedoe, former head of the education marketing team, will be assuming the title of president of Apple’s PowerSchool division. Meanwhile, MacMinute reader Kevin Davis informs us that Steve Jobs joined the Governor of Maine in celebrating the State’s “Celebration of the Maine Learning Technology Initiative” today. The State of Maine has a contract with Apple to supply all seventh- and eight-grade students with iBooks.
