Valentina 1.8.10 Advances Cocoa and SQL Support
NEW RELEASE PROVIDES FAST NATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR MAC OS X
February 20, 2002. Beaverton, Oregon. Paradigma Software announces the
release of Valentina Technology Release 1.8.10.
Valentina Technology Release 1.8.10 provides exceptional database tools for
MacOS X native application developers. The new Mac OS X features includes
support for both C++ and Object-C development using Apple’s Project Builder
using the Valentina C++ SDK. In addition, Valentina for Java is now
compatible with Java implementations under Mac OS X.
The general technology release also adds additional SQL support for: CREATE
TABLE, DROP TABLE, ALTER TABLE, INSERT INTO, INSERT … SELECT, UPDATE,
DELETE, and CONVERT RDBLINK.
CONVERT RDBLINK provides an SQL interface for automatically converting
RDBMS-kind links into Valentina ObjectPtr links.
Valentina for Macromedia Director developers also gain new utility
commands: GetRecordAsPropList(), IsNull(), SetIsNull().
All Valentina products are based on the Valentina database kernel, an
ultra-fast database solution for software developers. Valentina solutions
are available for most development environments, including REAL Software’s
REALbasic, Macromedia Director, Metrowerks CodeWarrior, Microsoft C++ ,
Purity Software’s WebSiphon, Visual Basic, Deplhi and Java.
Current owners of Valentina 1.x SDKs can upgrade for no cost to the current
version of their SDKs with Technology Release 1.8.10.
The products are available for immediate download from Paradigma Software
or its authorized distributors in Germany, the Netherlands and Italy.
