Apple Europe today said that sales during the month of December were “equivalent to or better than” holiday sales last year, according to Bloomberg News. “Sales were good, but no more,” said Apple Europe Vice President Pascal Cagni. “We didn’t see the classic spike in sales we usually have for Christmas.” The company expects sales to climb in 2002 with the introduction of the new flat-panel iMac, after seeing sales slump 25 to 30 percent last year.
