WipeOut 2097 for Mac coming in December

Virtual Programming has announced that WipeOut 2097, a Mac port of the 1996 anti-gravity racing title for the Sony PlayStation, has reached golden master status and is expected to be available in December, according to Inside Mac Games. The game lets players take control of a futuristic anti-gravity vehicle, requiring lightning-fast reflexes to negotiate hairpin turns, initiate jumps and blast opponents with an array of weapons.

Apple retail update

The Apple Store at Clarendon in Arlington, VA, will open this Saturday at 10:00 ET, MacMinute has learned. The Clarendon store will be Apple’s second in the Washington, D.C. metro area; Apple opened its very first store at Tyson’s Corner in McLean, VA, another suburb of D.C. Apple’s retail page also lists a store at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA as “Coming Soon”, although we have no official word on the opening date.
