Erik Ryan, PR Manager for Microsoft’s Mac Division, has told MacNN that users can expect to see Internet Explorer 5.1 (final) released this summer — likely at Macworld Expo New York in July.

John Markoff of the New York Times has written an interesting article exploring the history of his first PC. “In 1984, however, I left the I.B.M.-compatible world and began using a Macintosh,” Markoff says in the story.

Macworld.com’s Andrew Shalat got curious and took the Windows beta version of Adobe’s new Atmosphere software for a spin using Virtual PC and a PowerMac G4. Why the Windows version? The new 3-D suite will not be available for the Mac until summer. Read what he has to say at Macworld.com.

WebObjects, Apple’s application server for creating dynamic web sites, was updated today with a MultiCountry download. WebObjects 4.5.1 can be downloaded from Apple’s Software Downloads Web site.

Apple has made Mac OS X 10.0.3 available via their Software Update Control Panel. VersionTracker.com notes the update “ensures full visibility of file lists in directories that contain a large number of items.”
