Apple has kicked off three Mac OS X technical training promotions: the first offers the on-site (up to 17 students) Mac OS X Basics/Server Essentials five-day course for US$20,000, which some how works out to “nearly 40 percent off the current $24,500 price.” The second allows individuals who enroll in the course can take a co-worker with them free of charge. Final Cut Pro stories, Myth III featured at Apple

Apple has compiled a “Final Cut Pro Stories” page that showcases a number of real-world Final Cut Pro users and the projects the software helped create. Another Apple feature takes a look at Myth III: The Wolf Age, the highly anticipated sequel to the real-time strategy game. While the game is scheduled to ship this month, the Apple Store quotes an estimated ship time of 7-10 weeks.

Corel to offer strategy update today

Corel has issued a press release stating that their CEO and CFO, Derek Burney and John Blaine respectively, will outline the company’s plans for fiscal 2002 during a teleconference later today. In addition, the two executives will give updates on the Micrografx and SoftQuad acquisitions. MacMinute will bring a report as soon as the teleconference concludes.
