Boeing today announced that it has partnered with American Airlines, United Airlines and Delta Air Lines to deliver high-speed Internet access to 1,500 planes starting in the second half of 2002. Passengers will be able to access the satellite-based service, which offers upstream speeds of up to 1 Mbps and downstream speeds of up to 5 Mbps, for about $20 an hour.
