Fortune magazine has posted an article that looks into CEO salaries and the amount they get paid in options and wonders how it happened. Calling the compensation for CEOs “highway robbery,” Fortune explores the finances of Steve Jobs, Larry Ellison and Michael Dell, among others.

Apple has put together a look at Timbuktu, the software from Netopia that allows users to connect to and control other Macs remotely. The article pieces together various real-world applications for the software, which is currently available for OS 8/9 and OS X as a preview.

Boeing today announced that it has partnered with American Airlines, United Airlines and Delta Air Lines to deliver high-speed Internet access to 1,500 planes starting in the second half of 2002. Passengers will be able to access the satellite-based service, which offers upstream speeds of up to 1 Mbps and downstream speeds of up to 5 Mbps, for about $20 an hour.

Intego has posted ContentBarrier 1.2.1, an update to its Internet filtering software. The new version boasts improved filtering speed, updated filters, and a bug fix. ContentBarrier is available for US$39.95.
