PTN Media, the company that brought the Claudia Schiffer-edition Palm handheld earlier this year, has confirmed that it will be delivering Michael Jordan versions of Palm’s m100 and m500. The m100 and m500 Jordans will sell for US$159 and $425, respectively, a $30 and $25 premium over the regular versions.

PhotoCaster 3, from Media Lab, is a Macromedia Director Xtra that allows users to bring Photoshop files, layer by layer, into Director with just one click. “Each layer appears as an individual cast member, indexed, anti-aliased, properly registered, and transparency preserved.” Among the new features is support Photoshop layer effects and enhanced text support. The software sells for US$199.95 as a download, or $249.95 on CD.

Media Lab recently released PhotoWebber 2, a new version of its software for building Web sites from directly within Photoshop. The new version adds support for JavaScript pop-up menus, Photoshop 5/6 layer effects support, improved handling of layers, Photoshop 6 text support, and more. PhotoWebber sells for US$199.95 as a download, or $249.95 on CD.

Seagate today introduced the Diskstor, its first company-branded USB Hard Drive. While only “tested and certified to work with Windows-based” computers, USB’s universal standard means it should also be compatible with the Mac OS. The drive is available in 20GB and 40GB capacities for US$269 and $349, respectively.

Bill and Hillary Clinton, who were in California this past weekend to attend their daughter’s graduation from Stanford University, spent time at Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ home, reports a New York Times article, without providing details on the visit.
