iCab 2.5.2 Preview has been posted. Several bugs have been resolved with this release of the alternative Web browser, which is available for 68K, PowerPC, and Mac OS X.

PC Advisor, a UK publication, has written a very positive review of Apple’s new iBook. “We’d go so far as to say it’s one of the most desirable and affordable notebooks on the market.”

Symantec and Intego have posted the July virus definitions for Norton AntiVirus and VirusBarrier. Virus definitions can also be downloaded for Norton AntiVirus with the software’s LiveUpdate feature, or through Intego’s NetUpdate application.

Apple has posted a comprehensive recap of NECC, including photo galleries, video interviews with educators who use Apple products, and Apple’s presence at the show as a whole.

Some Windows users are reporting that Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 6 for Windows, which is currently in beta, can conflict with QuickTime 5. Some posts in this discussion thread, which was pointed out by MacMinute reader Scott Stevenson, describe QuickTime as being disabled after installing Microsoft’s new browser.
