Formac today announced the Formac gallery*1740, a 17.4-inch flat panel display that features an ADC connector—the first display from a third party manufacturer to feature Apple’s three-in-one connector.

Dr. Bott today announced the TiCasePlus, an upgraded version of its stylish TiCase that adds a side bag for additional storage, as well as a comfortable shoulder strap.

Pioneer has lowered the price of its DVR-A03 DVD/CD recorder (“SuperDrive”) to US$649. The price drop should also be reflected in the coming weeks with third-party, external FireWire versions of the drive, and will also presumably mean lower costs on the part for Apple, which ships it mid- and high-end Power Mac G4 configurations with the drive.

Adobe today announced InCopy 2.0 an upgrade to its InDesign-based editorial software. Designed to integrate with InDesign, InCopy allows writers to easily collaborate projects and optimizes efficiency in publishing workflows. InCopy 2.0 features an improved user interface, new controls, XML support, new editing tools, and more. The software will ship in the second quarter of 2002. Pricing and Mac OS X support are unknown at this point.

Handspring today introduced its Treo line of handhelds, which combine the functionality of a cell phone, Palm OS PDA, and wireless email, messaging, and Web browser. The product line consists of the black and white Treo 180, which will sell for US$399 when it ships early next year, and the color Treo 270, which will ship in mid-2002 for $599.
